Tables
Table designs by Lucia Eames juxtaposed favored motifs and explored such designer choices as the play between positive and negative space; functionality (as with the heart-lined umbrella holder with a pan to catch drips from soaking umbellas); breaking of traditional planes exemplified by the escaping shooting star forming a leg; or the careful incising of a table setting in a bistro table.
Her elegant design of a heart bounded by a narrow circle, has appeared in several finishes and different heights; Ray Eames delightedly displayed Lucia’s gift of this treasured design in the living room of the Eames House—a talisman of deep love.
